If you’ve never heard of it before, you’re not alone. Sulforaphane is one of the most important compounds that has been recently discovered. It is anticancer, antidiabetic, antimicrobial and is easily obtained by eating cruciferous veggies, in particular 3 day old broccoli sprouts.

3 day old broccoli sprouts have the highest amounts of sulforaphane

inducing phase-II enzymes which help to increase the production of tumor suppressing proteins. Although broccoli sprouts contain the highest concentrations of sulforaphane, it can also be found in brussel sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, bok choy, kohlrabi, broccoli raab, watercress, turnip, chinese broccoli, radish, arugula and kale.
